The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Business Administration is designed to achieve the following objectives:

  • Developing knowledge – Students should develop a substantial knowledge base in their area of specialization. 
  • Conducting research – Students should learn to design and conduct original research in their area of specialization. They should also master the analytical and methodological skills to evaluate research. 
  • Communicating results – Students should be able to communicate their research results in a clear and effective manner. 
  • Working with others – Students should be able to work effectively with people from different backgrounds. 
  • Understanding ethics – Students should understand and be concerned with the ethical standards in their field. 
  • Teaching – Students may be able to teach college-level courses in their area of specialization. 
  • Extending knowledge – Students should extend the limits of what is currently known through innovative and high-quality work. 
  • Making contributions – The primary purpose of a PhD is to cultivate individuals who can make significant contributions to their chosen field of research
