Date of Examination
Course examination leading to first degree in the faculty shall be held at the end of each semester. A candidate who for a grave cause was unable to present himself/herself for examination at the end of semester may, with the special permission of Board of Academic Studies, presents himself/herself for examination at the next available opportunity.
Entry for Examination
Every candidate entering for examination and in good standing will be supplied with an entry forms, which must be returned duly filled. In completing his/her entry form, a candidate must state clearly the course he/she wishes to offer and give full details of examinations previously taken. The completed form shall be forwarded to the Secretary of Academic Board. A list of all students registered for an examination shall be issued by the Secretary of Academic Board or his representative three weeks before the examination begins.
Written Examination:
The exam is taken immediately after completing the coursework sequence and covers the material in those seminars. The exam consists of a paper and a two-day written test, and is usually administered during the month following the end of the student’s third year.
Oral Qualifying Examination:
Students submit and defend their dissertation proposals in the oral qualifying examination no later than in the fall of their 3rd year. The objective is to determine whether students have the intellectual capacity and academic preparation to complete the program. Successful completion of prior phases of the program and a well-defined research proposal are required.
Examination result in each course shall be recorded as a percentage marks and shall be interpreted as follows:
0 – 39 = E (Fail)
40 – 49 = D (Pass)
50 – 59 = C (Good)
60 – 69 = B (Very Good)
70 – 100 = A (Excellent)
Notification of Result
The provisional lists of successful candidates in all course examinations shall be published by the Head of Department soon after the completion of the examination’s meeting, but the list shall not be regarded as final until they are approved and confirmed by the IARSAC International University (IIU).
Issue of Certificates
After the approval of the list by the IIU, successful candidates shall be admitted either in a person or in absentia to the degree of Bachelor/Master/PhD for the award of the degrees and thereafter issued with certificates under the Common Seal of the IARSAC International University (IIU) by the Office of the President of the University.
Graduates of and or transfer students from other Universities recognized by the Academic Board, may be permitted to complete the requirements for graduation, after a period of study of not less than two semesters.
Grades
Grades to be used for candidates who satisfactorily complete the requirements of a course by the end of semester are:

The class of the degree of a candidate who has successfully completed his/her course of studies shall be determined as follows:
